Pixie is our green-eyed brown spotted Bengal. Flynn and Ziggi are both blue-eyed snow spotted Bengals. Flynn is the one who was ill and everyone thought was going to die - as you can see, he's now a strapping lad. Ziggi was given to us as the breeder thought Flynn wasn't going to make it! Happily, thanks to raw food diet and FI he's a very happy [heavy] monster!!! They all lurve their food and yell the house down at feeding times.

Milo's Story:
Milo has been on the raw diet - with your supplements - now for almost 4mos - and he's not had any recurrence of the diarrhea - he's one happy, healthy Ocicat!! He's bright eyed and lots of energy - he loves hunting the occasional moth or bug that happens to get in from outside!!! - knocks it silly until I have a chance to get it - he doesn't eat those though!
Milo….we are soooo glad we picked an ocicat! We traveled with him for a week and he handled it well! No onset of diarrhea!! Yay!!!! I still can’t get over the fact his stools have absolutely NO SMELL!!! Everyone in my family/relatives has cats and I keep telling them. They have a hard time getting over the fact that he’s eating RAW chicken…but when we traveled with them, they saw for themselves….they were impressed to say the least.
They all knew the trouble I had with him – diarrhea, crystals in his urine (poor boy went through a lot), tri-trichamonas, etc. He hasn’t been to the vet in 5mos and shows no sign of having to go! He doesn’t get crystals anymore either. I don’t leave out water for him because he never drinks it….he gets plenty in his food…I add about 3 tablespoons of water to every meal….he likes it that way and he urinates large and approx 5x per day – nothing plugging him up there! It’s just wonderful….I wish I what’ve done this years ago!
Meant to tell you, Milo absolutely LOVES those chicken treats Liv-a-Littles – man o man, he would eat the jar if we let him. He gets one or two every night t and if he doesn’t get it, he sits up so pretty patiently waiting by his dish. When we get out the jar he goes nuts with a big long extended meow! It’s too funny!

Sheenah’s Story
I have two wonderful cats – Santos, a handsome Havana Brown and Sheenah, an elegant, little Abyssinian. Both are 3 years old now and I’ve had them since they were 8 weeks old kittens. Sheenah always had diarrhea and loose stool. We’ve tried every cat food there is on the market (mostly the expensive veterinary specialty brands) and had her treated for food allergies and inflammatory bowl disease with antibiotics and steroid shots. Nothing helped! The steroid shots provided temporary relief but I really didn’t want to give her steroid shots every few months for the rest of her life. Then 4 months ago, Sheenah lost almost 1 pound of her weight which was very drastic for a 5.5 pound petit cat. The veterinary diagnosed her with acute kidney failure. She had to stay for 2 days in the hospital to re-hydrate, flush her kidneys and get on a battery of medication. For the first couple of days it was touch and go and I thought I might lose her. I started thinking that there must be some common cause to all of Sheenah’s problems and I researched feline nutrition and natural medicine on the internet. This is where I first came across Feline Instincts. I read as much as I could about raw food diets for cats and dogs. It seemed so simple but also made so much sense.
Both Sheenah and Santos are now eating Feline Instincts’ raw food diet and I am happy to report they are both doing great. Little Sheenah who was always a finicky eater, taking over an hour to finish her food if Santos didn’t finish it for her, is now gobbling it all up in 10 minutes or less. And the best part is, she has gained all of her weight and more back and her stool is nice and firm as it should be. She was at the vet for a check up and received a clean bill of health. My veterinary was amazed about her recovery and how good she looked. As another side effect of the raw food diet, Sheenah doesn’t shed as much and her coat is nice, healthy and shiny. Both, Sheenah and Santos are much more active and I believe just overall happier cats.

One of our cats, Flynn, had diarrhea for 18 mths from being a kitten. Within 24 hr. of me feeding raw food diet he stopped and has been healthy ever since. Unfortunately, not before we had spent hundreds of pounds on special food, drugs and a putting the poor soul through a completely unnecessary investigative operation.
All three of our cats are happy and healthy - they all eat the same food. We tell everyone about using raw food and Feline Instincts supplements and the benefits as opposed to using commercial food.
I'll send you some photos shortly - if I can get the little monkeys to stay still long enough!
Best wishes

"I thank God for Feline Instincts products and especially for Felice. She has been so very helpful and available when I needed her the most. Prior to switching to a raw diet, I had been in and out of the vet for three years. The vet had trouble diagnosing his symptoms and I spent several hundred dollars on x-rays, ultra-sounds, pain meds, specialists, you name it. When I started Bacci on the raw food diet the symptoms ceased. One year later he remians perfectly healthy and maintains his urinary tract and bowel health. "

Just wanted to let you know: I bought the small size of Feline Instincts a couple weeks ago--just to try on my poor 16 year old IBD kitty....and wonder of wonders--he LOVES my homemade food and no more diarrhea!!!! In fact, he's happier (and healthier) than he's been in years. Such a simple thing has made ALL the difference!

I have three Ocicats. My three thrive on raw food; my eldest has had serious digestive disturbances with everything else and is fine now. My friend breeds, raises and shows them, and we've been feeding raw food for quite awhile.
My beautiful babies are three male cats, from Pikes Peak Ocicats in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The breeder is Dian Darr. Her website is at http://pikespeakocis.com/
They are, from left to right, "Nacho", "Pepsi" (Nacho's son), and "Ollie" (Nacho's grandson). Their show days are over now; Nacho is a Champion/Premier, and both Pepsi and Ollie are CFA Grand Premiers and TICA Supreme Grand Champion Alters/Regional Winners.
With all of that said, at home they are wonderful, sweet, engaging pets that I cherish. I love having three generations, and three distinct colors. I wouldn't know how to behave, anymore, without an Ocicat "supervising" my every move! Nacho had allergies to every food I tried, from the cheapest supermarket brands to the high-end specialty foods. He cannot tolerate any grams of carbohydrate at all. The only solution was raw food; he's doing fine, now, and the others love the diet as well. All three are very active, strong and healthy.
The raw food diet is easy and economical, but insufficient in and of itself. In order to thrive, supplements must be added to ensure that the cat is getting everything needed. That's where Feline Instincts comes in, in my house. Thanks for a great product!
Gayle , CO
PS: Gayle added the following for a more exact account of what happened to her kitty Nacho before and after the raw diet:
Nacho was the foundation sire of Pikes Peak Ocicats. He was kept is a very clean and very roomy enclosure for about 2 1/2 years, while he "served" in that capacity. His stool was normal-to-loose; the breeder is exquisitely careful when feeding, and catered to his appetite and digestion to the best of her ability. When she discovered raw diet, she offered some to him, but he seemed to prefer commercial brands. When he came to live with me, his lifestyle change was dramatic. First of all, he'd been neutered. Secondly, he is now a house cat! Instead of being separated from the other whole males, he had the run of the house with his son and grandson. Instead of living a rather langourous life (with daily play times of an hour or two), he was suddenly playing and running and jumping with his progeny, at all hours of the day and night. As a result, his stool became very runny. Sometimes, it had the consistency of water and he couldn't hold it. We tried everything, but I did not want to convert to a raw diet because my other two cats seemed to do well on commercial foods. After nothing else would work for him, I finally converted to nothing but raw and Nacho's stool became normal within a few days. I began by feeding him separately, but when I saw how well he was doing (and how economical raw feeding is), I began feeding nothing but raw to all of them. All three are so strong and active that I have had to install special climbing places in the house; these guys need a jungle gym! They run and pounce and climb and jump and are happy, healthy cats. One day, early on, I decided to give commercial foods a try again - to see if it could be tolerated. Nacho's tummy rejected it summarily. Pepsi and Ollie seemed to do ok, at first, but within a half an hour they were yowling and begging me for more food. The commercial diet had set off their appetites; they craved more and more and more. I discontinued after only one meal and now I feed nothing at all but the complete raw diet. And, raw feeders; have you noticed? The stools do not smell!! I have three indoor-only male cats and my house doesn't smell "catty" at all! Thanks, Feline Instincts, for a great product and for healthy cats. You've saved me hundreds in vet bills already, and my cats love their food!
From left to right, "Nacho", "Pepsi" (Nacho's son), and "Ollie" (Nacho's grandson).

Five years ago in 2001 my husband and I adopted a rescue kitten from the LA pound. One of the problems the kittens had was diarrhea, and our Max continued to have that problem. I had tried all the commercial cat foods and he continued to have poopy-pants. Next I tried the veterinarian cat food and was paying $40 for 8 lbs. of catfood. I was also running up a large vet bill for lab work, x-rays, and more diagnostics trying to figure out what to do to correct Max's problem as he was lethargic and not feeling well.
After a long month of trying all kinds of catfood, pet store food, grocery store and vet catfood, the problem persisted. At my wits end, I decided to surf the internet for feline nutrition as this quickly becoming a seemingly insurmountable problem. We love our Max and weren't about to give up, so I spent the next 3 days reading every website that had anything to do with feline nutrition.
After reading every website on the internet regarding catfood and feline nutrition, I knew the answer to my solution......Feline Instincts' My Natural Cat diet, it just made sense. The testimonials (now I'm writing one) were so helpful in making the decision I made to help my precious Max. We made our fresh raw catfood with My Natural Cat supplement and fed it to both our cats, and from that day on, Max's problem cleared up and has been one big, very healthy, 15 pound kitty.
Prior to using the raw diet with Feline Instincts, our older kitty, Melody, was constantly scratching herself. She's a little girl that weighs only 9 pounds, must have been the runt of the litter, I love her dearly. She started on the Feline Instinct diet the same time Max did, and she stopped scratching within 3 days, and became more loveable and relaxed.
A change in a cat's diet can often create a gassy problem, and as in Max's case, the diarrhea. However, from Day 1 of feeding Max his new raw chicken and My Natural Cat diet, the diarrhea completely cleared up and has never been a problem since. We've been feeding our kitties the Feline Instincts raw diet for 5 years and have not made one veterinarian visit since then. The cats are indoor cats and have stayed healthy since that day we began their new diet, not one visit to the vet for any problems. Max and Melody get their annual physical and are in perfect health; Max is 5+ years old and Melody if going on 7.
I am very grateful to Felice for all her answers and unending patience to my many, many questions when I changed to our new raw diet for Max. I have always been able to talk to her on the phone the day I call, needing help, and always receive great customer service!
Thank you Felice and Feline Instincts, you are the BEST!!

Hello, I bought your My Natural Cat about a month ago and immediately began feeding it to my cats. I have 3 rescue cats and am also beginning a breeding program of Siberian cats. My rescue cat Antonio Banderas has had loose stools since I first adopted him 5 months ago. I had him to the vet a couple times with no real answers. Well, after a few weeks eating of having the boys on the chicken recipe and he is a new cat. He hasn't had a loose stool in weeks! Not only that but the smell for all of the cats is no where near as strong as when they were on dry food. I know now that I'll be feeding this to my Siberians as well. My vet was appalled that I would feed raw food to my cats. He firmly recommended a couple brands, but since they provide these brands with their new kitten service I took it with a grain of salt. Even when I fed my cats dry food it was always the super premium holistic formulas such as Wellness or Innova, but this is even better! Thanks!

I just wanted to share Fernando's story with you. I found him out in the middle of a prairie walking path near my workplace. He was always very slim and looks very Russian Blue, but our theory is that aliens made him and left him for us to find. He has the most amazing personality and is too smart for his own good. The vet thought he was about 1 1/2 years old when we found him.We had him for about a year when his coat became lackluster and oily andhe started to get chronic diarrhea, severe weight loss and vomiting. He would get better with one treatment or another from the vet, but it always would return after a few months.
The last outbreak he had was so severe we thought we would lose him. He went from 8 to 7 lbs in a week's time and was depressed, anorexic and so very frail. His vet put him on prednesolone and antibiotics and we cast about for something he would eat. We were so tired of trying to get him to eat something, anything! We found he liked raw turkey, so we started him on that.
But after another setback I found your food. I mixed it with his raw turkey and it was an instant hit! To make a long story short, he is now doing extremely well and is almost embarrassingly robust and healthy. His once skeptical vet is amazed and he has been drug free since January. Since we have 12 other cats, we have had to make some changes in what dry food we serve them as Fernando can't eat anything but single source protein foods and fish is toxic to him. I am now starting some of my older cats on the kidney diet but its too soon to tell yet. All of the cats want Fernando's food, and we are so happy to have something he will actually eat, since he was a fussy eater from day one. Thanks for this food. For Nando, it has been a lifesaver!

Shortly after I adopted Shadow, a young male Siamese cross, I noticed that he had chronic diarrhea. Neither of the two treatments - antibiotics and de-worming - that had been prescribed by the vet seemed to help him.
I decided to take matters into my own hands and spent a lot of time on the Internet researching Irritable Bowl Disease (IBD) in cats. I joined a yahoo group and discovered that there were many other people out there whose cats had problems with chronic diarrhea. Many had reported drastic improvements in their cats’ condition after switching them to an all-raw meat diet.
Reading further about this raw diet, I came across Feline Instincts ®, a company that manufactures the nutritional supplement required for this diet. I ordered my first batch of supplement and bought some good, local organic meat and liver and set to work making my first batch of Shadow’s new food.
The result was truly amazing. Shadow’s diarrhea vanished literally within 24 hours and has not returned. He’s been on the raw meat diet now for over 1 ½ years and is healthy, happy and strong.
Throughout this time, Felice at Feline Instincts ® has been most supportive and extremely helpful with anything that has come up. I feel truly blessed to have found her. And Shadow, I’m sure, is equally grateful for the wonderful nourishment he receives from the Feline Instincts ® product, My Natural Cat ™.
Thank you, Felice!

One of my cats, Imp, was born in front of me. She is a black and white DSH and very sweet. At about the age of 5, she began to throw up her food occasionally. I jokingly called it scarf and barf because she would eat frantically and then regurgitate it immediately. This behavior slowly increased in frequency over the years. When I would mention it to my vets, they would just say that she was a “pukey kitty” and was healthy so I didn’t worry too much.
Finally, by age 9, Imp was throwing up almost everyday. She started to lose weight and I could feel every vertebrae and rib. When she wasn’t eating, she was sleeping and her coat lost its luster. After talking to several vets, she was informally diagnosed with IBD.
I had just made the switch to raw feeding my dogs but was worried about switching my cats since their nutritional needs are so exact. I heard about balanced raw meat diets and decided to give it a try. It took about a month of carefully mixing wet cat food with slowing increasing amounts of the raw diet mix before I successfully switched all my cats over. The difference was immediate and amazing!
Now, two years later, Imp is the picture of health. She is 12 years old but looks and acts like a kitten. Not only did the vomiting stop, but her entire personality changed. She is still the sweet cat I have always known, but instead of staying to herself like she used to, she seeks out attention and even sits on my lap. She also started playing with my other cat! Something I had not seen her do since she was very young. My new roommate cannot believe how young she looks and acts for her age and is now going to start to switch over her older cat.
I cannot say enough about the help Feline Instincts have given me. It has given me a new relationship with my cat back by increasing not only her quality of life now but also the amount of time I will get to spend with her. Thank you Felice!

I can't tell you what
a relief it has been for me to help Sophia, Squeak, Snubby,
and Patty. All five of us feel better as a result of eating
the raw diet.
Within
two days of feeding a balanced raw meat diet, four cats who had chronic IBS symptoms and for
whom no other approach had worked -- no more diarrhea. Now,
some weeks later, they are like new kitties and I am forever
grateful for being able to make them happier and more comfortable.
We are now also using a raw diet as a resting/rehab diet for foster
cats with other problems. Please thank Marion and Jim Mills
for persisting in sharing info about a raw diet so we could
make a difference in the lives of these cats!

Hi!
I have a pair of 6 year old Russian Blue litter mates, Helena
and Tobias. Tobias has had numerous episodes with
struvite crystals in his urine. When he starts to
spray in the house, I know he again has another urinary
infection (FUS). He also has had problems with chronic
loose, bloody stools, no matter what kind of food he was
feed. I tried all different brands of dry food and
wet food. Everything gave him diarrhea. I knew
he was miserable and I had to do something, so I decided
to try a raw meat diet. I switched both cats to a raw diet
in just a few days! They both love chicken and turkey. I have noticed both cats are calmer, peaceful and
less agitated. Tobias has for the first time, normal
stools! I'll never go back to processed cat food and
would recommend a raw meat diet for felines to all serious cat
owners.

My story is pretty successful so far -
My cat Siouxsie is 12 and was diagnosed with IBD about 2
years ago as she was
vomiting and having diarrhea constantly and had gone from
13 lbs to
about 8 in a pretty short amount of time. Siouxsie had gone
through periods
of diarrhea and/or vomiting throughout her life and was
put on weird
substances like tylen powder and she also had a long history
of
recurrent cystitis and lots of antibiotics. She was put
on prednisone
for the IBD and quickly regained her weight and I then started
reducing
the dose slowly until I got her down to a maintenance dosage.
Eventually
it stopped working and I had to increase her dosage and
she was vomiting
and having diarrhea again. I had taken her to a homeopathic
vet a number
of years ago who wrote down a raw meat diet for her and I just
could not
follow through as being so busy and having so many ingredients
to find
and buy, etc. I didn't do it and just accepted that she
had a cold
stomach and tried to have her sleep on a heating pad, gave
her warm
food, etc. So a few months ago with her symptoms returning,
I started
doing research on the internet again and stumbled upon balanced raw meat diet
for cats on many web sites. I
thought I'd give it a try since I felt desperate and
it
looked not too
complicated. Siouxsie took to the raw food immediately.
but she will only
eat chicken. I had a hard time with the "liver" part of
the recipe, but
now saw you have it in powdered form (thank you!) Siouxsie
has not
vomited or had diarrhea in months and she is completely
off prednisone. :-)

My cat had IBD. At first we had a difficult
time with
him, but now he's {Scimitar} one Happy Cat! For the
first time in his life--that
is, in nine years--he's had consistently solid stools after eating a good raw meat diet
He's much more
active and looks terrific.
I've told you that he has IBD but you've never heard his
story, so here
it is: He was four months old when he came to live
with us, and from
that very day he had loose stools. An allergy screening
showed that he
was allergic to almost everything, and later he was definitively
diagnosed with IBD after exploratory surgery. Our
vets recommended
commecial foods.
Nothing worked.
About eight months ago his lifetime companion died, and
the stress
caused a downwards spiral. Loose stool turned into
full-fledged
gaseous diarrhea. Often he would beg for food but
refuse to eat
anything. He lost a significant amount of weight. We refused
to give
him Prednisone, but did give him Flagyll. Again, no
change. We felt
so helpless.
I'd known about raw diets for years, but it took this crisis
to offset
my "uncooked" fears. And
he had his first
"perfect poo" after the first meal!
Thank you so much for your wonderful product.

Our cat, Nikki, is doing fine on
a raw diet. Miraculously, after a year of affliction,
her diarrhea has abated--we hope completely. It has now
been long enough that I feel confident about writing that.
In truth, her stool was normal-appearing about two weeks
into the diet. She's had one minor episode in all the time
since, so we are delighted, to say the least, as she must
be. We still get the hairballs, but that's fairly infrequent.
Dr.
Gardner prescribed a little acidophilus and a ½ tsp.
slippery elm bark/water preparation to be added to each
meal, but that's all we've added. She's still on her ½
tablet of prednisone each day, and we'd like to wean her
off that.
Nikki
prefers the chicken meat diet over the beef. She's
crazy about that dried chicken liver powder. She virtually
insists that a small amount be sprinkled over every meal--chicken
or beef. That or she gets finicky.
Best
regards,
Henry,
Bronxville, NY

I had to send you a picture of our gentle giant, Meeko,
who was helped so much by a raw diet.
He was a very sick kitten when we bought him, but we didn't
realize it until we had him vaccinated, and his IBD kicked
into overtime! The vets were NO help, but I did a
lot of research and found a Feline IBD forum on Yahoo! and
then found about a raw meat diet.
Meeko still has IBD, but when he has a relapse, we put him
on raw food right away, and it clears
up immediately. He is now growing as a Maine Coon
should, and he is HUGE. (He was underweight for months
when we first got him.)

Yes...Let
me briefly tell their story.
Buddha and his sister T.S. were adopted by me 3 years ago;
they are both about 10 now. Buddha was diagnosed with an
irritable inflamed bowel and had surgery with 5" of
his intestine removed. He was ill, losing weight and hair,
and a vet thought he might be allergic to commercial cat
food and wheat. The vet recommended a raw meat diet, did
research and came across your site. After starting him on
a raw meat diet, Buddha is doing great. He has gained his weight
back (he's a hefty cat, weighing in at about 15 solid pounds)
and his hair quality. He's happy, energetic (sometimes a
bit too???) and his sister (after some hesitation) has now
accepted the diet. They look forward to eating times and
are both healthy happy cats. Here's a picture of both Buddha and T.S.
cleaning out the mixing bowl.

We purchased a silver smoke Persian, Binx,
about 3 years ago to replace another love of my life. Yoppy
had been 21 years old, and was an extremely health cat.
We
bought Binx from a breeder, who gave him all his first shots.
When we took him to the vet for his first check up, once
again they gave him all his vaccinations. Immediately, he
had loose, bloody stools. Soon, he was defecating all over
the house, including my bed. I was at my wits end and thought
we were going to have to put him to sleep. Whith in 24 hours
of starting him on a raw diet mixed we had instant results! He has not had an episode
since we have had him on our home made arw diets
and that has been well over a year. I don't know what we
would have done without a raw diet, I actually heard about a raw diet from
a Yahoo web site, where folks with cats that have IBD, or
IBS symptoms, promote the benefits of raw and low/no grain
diets.

On Thursday, November 13, Demelza and I celebrated the 11
month anniversary of her return to health by throwing all
her medicine down the garbage disposal! I can hardly believe
the full-of-turkey, sleek, shiny, playful cat who's sleeping
on her "post" near me is the same sick, miserable,
all-personality-lost, at-death's-door cat from a year ago!
I marvel at the change in her and in Madison , whose chronic
diarrhea is a thing of the past, and I am so grateful for
your support and advice during the past year. And while
the other three cats didn't exhibit the same drastic symptoms
as Demelza and Madison, they, too, are sleek, shiny, and
playful and thriving on their raw meat diet.

Hi,
Shtinky
should be at the top of your list because she almost died.
Her weight was down to six pounds, she had Hepatic Lipidosis,
and she was diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease. She
was on a feeding tube for two weeks! When she finally did
start eating on her own, I believe it was a raw diet that
restored her to good health. Now, she is healthier and happier
than she ever was.
Her IBD symptoms
have completely disappeared, her weight has stabilized,
her coat is beautiful, and her energy level is that of a
kitten.

Raw meat foods saved my Bengal cat's life.
With a terrible IBS problem nothing I fed him was staying
in him for more that half an hour. Once I got him on a raw
diet he doubled his weight in a month and now is a healthy
14-15 lb. pussy cat. Of course the
vets don't like the idea of a raw diet.. but then they were
just watching him die a slow and painful death by malnutrition
with no clue as to how to help him. Over time his is now
able to eat dry food, but he still demands his raw food
!
After
many expensive vet visits and medications my vet determined
that endoscopy and steroids were indicated. My baby was
starving to death and his future looked bleak.
I decided to do some research on Irritable Bowel Syndrome
before I put him through such an invasive and possibly fatal
ordeal.
I tried a raw meat diet and the problem went away immediately!
Since I have changed his diet to raw meat he has doubled his weight He would eat two pounds of food
a day if I let him.
I also put one of my other kittens on a raw meat chicken diet (she
can eat anything) and she loves it as well. I thought I
was going to lose my sweet kitten, but thanks
the people out there that know about the raw meat diets I
look forward to many, many years with my beautiful, healthy
cat.
Best Wishes,

I
just wanted to tell you about Ember. She's my skinny kitty
with suspected irritable bowel. I started her on a raw diet about two weeks ago and
she loves it! I think she has gained some weight and her
coat seems a lot nicer. But the best part is that she has
not had ANY diarrhea or thrown-up. (With her previous food
she would occasionally get sick for no apparent reason.)

"Our
thirteen year old cat had quit eating and was down to 4.5
pounds. So thin, her shoulder blades rubbed together; and
she could hardly do stairs or jump. Her fur was brittle,
and she had diarrhea and vomiting and coughing. We had tried
all the alternative commercial allergy foods (canned venison,
duck, rabbit; dry food for "sensitive stomachs").
Then we changed vets, learned of raw meat diets. After a month
on a raw diet she was up to 6 lbs."

Also, within 3 days of feeding my kitty a homemade raw food
I noticed a dramatic improvement in her
behavior. She now plays several times per day & looks
bright-eyed & ready for mischief. She's 15, but acts
like she's a kitten! She plays with the organic catnip toy
you sent several times per day. Thanks for including it!
It's given Maya (and me) many hours of pleasure!
